Inspired by old traditions and cultures, archeological finds and universal symbols, I travel the world, gathering ideas and bringing them up to date into todays crazy, fast and furious world. I seek for the relevancy of them in an age when handmade slow making craftsmanship can be seen as a radical act.

This clay sculpture is a one of a kind handmade object. It is made out of 2 pieces, one is the round sphere at the bottom and the second is the lid with crescent moon at the top. This piece is assembled with jute rope and handmade clay beads, giving the sculpture another earthy element and a ‘richness of materials’ kind of feeling.

It is shaped and formed from grey clay and red slip. Fired to 1200 degrees celsius in a ceramic kiln, this piece will basically last forever.
